Major George Stopford Adams

1st Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers

Son of Lt General Cadwallader Adams C.B

He served in the South African War 1901-2

In Gallipoli on 25th April 1915

He landed on Beach W Lancashire Landing

and was killed in action 11th May 1915 aged 42

A tribute from the Colonel in Chief of his Regt

“I know that in his case the V.C. was throughly deserved”
