2nd Battalion, Duke of Wellington’s West Riding Regiment.

Killed in Action : France and Flanders, 8th November 1914, aged 25.

Comemorated at Ypres Menin Gate

Awarded : 1914 Star with clasp, Victory & British War medals.

Son of Solomon & Elizabeth BAZELEY of Wacton Green, Bromyard, Worcester.

Husband of Frances Emma DEEMING, formerly BAZELEY, née HUGHES; 2 children.

Brother in Law of Walter HUGHES

Address: 20 Elm Crescent, Dove Wood, Bentley, Doncaster. Formerly of 20 Bridge Street, Amington, Tamworth.

Employment: colliery labourer at Tamworth Colliery.

BAZELEY was first reported missing on 8 November 1914, and then presumed P.O.W. It was not until over two years later that his wife was informed that he was killed on that date.
