History

The church was built in Norman times, but has been altered over the years. Middleton Hall, dating from the mid 13th century, was inhabited to the 1960’s and is now being restored. The Hall was owned by the Marmion family and later the Willoughbys. The hall is now run by a charitable trust, and you can visit the hall and gardens.
