War Memorials – Warton

A memorial clock was erected by the people of Warton in memory of the five men who lost their lives in WWI. The inscription reads as follows:

To the Glory of God
and in Memory of the Men
who Fell in the Great War
1914 – 1918
This Clock Has Been Erected
By the Inhabitants of Warton
1921

Two men who died in WWII are also remembered. The inscription reads as follows:

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends St John XV 13.
