Although the Soldiers Who Died in the Great War records cite his place of birth and residence as Nuneaton, he was in fact born in Odstone, Leicestershire which is directly north of Nuneaton and Market Bosworth. Census records show that he lived there from birth until at least 1911. This page was created because it is believed that Joseph’s name was included in the Nuneaton Book of Remembrance.
