Armistice Day. It was just after 1939 when the country decided to celebrate Armistice Day on the nearest Sunday to the famous date of 11th November. However, the people of Bedworth have observed a two-minute silence at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month every year since 1923, and it is believed to be the only town to do so.
