War Memorials – Weddington

Within the church is a plaque naming those who fell in WWI and among them are the three sons of Geoffrey J Shakerley who lived at the castle around 1912 until his death in 1915.

The inscription reads as follows:

To the  Glory of God and in Honoured and
Grateful memory of the men of this Parish who
gave their lives for their Country
in the Great War. 1914-18
